Alpha Two

My 5-year-old went from a balance bike to pedals in about ten minutes on this, the 16" size fits him perfectly at 44 inches tall. It's light enough that he can pick it up himself when he tips over, which honestly makes my life easier too.

We've gone through three hand-me-down bikes that were all too heavy for my daughter to pedal uphill. This 16" one is light enough that she can actually manage it herself, and the geometry makes her sit upright instead of hunched over the bars. She's begging to ride every evening now.

My 5-year-old picked up riding in under an hour, and I think the lightweight frame made all the difference—he could actually steer and stop without struggling.
