The shim made it fit my 22.2mm bars without any wobble, which I was worried about. Rung it once on a busy street and a guy actually stepped back onto the curb, so it does the job.

The shim fit my 22.2mm bars perfectly, no wobble at all on rough pavement. It's loud enough that pedestrians actually hear me coming, which is exactly what I wanted. The black coating hasn't chipped despite a few scrapes against bike racks.

The brass has a nice weight to it and the ring cuts through traffic noise better than the plastic bell it replaced. Only gripe is the black coating scuffed a bit where my clamp grips it, but that's cosmetic.
